Tanya Heltemes - Urban Network - Week 10

Another week that flew right by. I guess that happens when you're busy huh? I finally got all the bios organized and filed away, which took longer than I thought would, though considering all my other duties, it wasn't that bad. As time has gone by, and my work has spoken for itself, it's given them an opportunity to give me more responsibilities around the office. I no longer submit news in to someone else (and I also get news articles sent to me to revise), I just post it directly to the server which then goes to the website. It cuts out the middleman and saves them a lot of time. On Friday I was given the task of finding places to do cold calling/sales to get promotional items for bags and/or exhibitor booths at the upcoming conference in June in Memphis. That's scary for me since I've never done anything like that before, though I have worked retail in the past, but I'm definitely up to the challenge. I'm excited to see what I can come up with to bring to the conference and help them out as best I can.
