Hello All,
The past two weeks have been fast paced with many different things going on all seemingly at once. Last week we moved offices due to construction at our old building and the whole staff chipped in to help move and pack and un-pack boxes all through the weekend so we could be set up and ready for business Monday morning. I must say we did an amazing job! The important lesson learned here is that this is the music business; it's not always just about the music, the little things must get done and you can't be afraid or unwilling to get your hands dirty.
The most exciting thing for me lately has been getting the opportunity to sit in on meetings and conference calls and learn from music business masters such as Sat, Joe, and Monte. These guys are the real deal! I feel like I get so much out of just sitting in and listening and observing in these meetings and calls it makes me want to take part more and more. That's another lesson though, all in itself... This internship is just a taste..
Sunday we had a McNally get together/un-birthday party for Charley Brooks which was great because it gave everyone an opportunity to network a little and talk about everyone's internships. Debbie Sandridge was there too so you know it was great fun!
