Well we have certainly started to get busier around the office. Phone is starting to ring off the hook! Just like they said it would.
We came across a rather difficult problem on Friday. We have a machine that will do our postage for us when we mail items, well our scale must have been off, because all 7,000 invitations had the wrong amount on them. So we had to make an arrangement with the post office to make sure not all invites would be sent back to our office. We ended up figuring it out, but boy was that a long day of phone calls.
I did complete a task I was asked to do that is going to benefit the organization. I was asked to make phone calls to various restaurants around the area to request a donation for our raffle. And one of the newest restaurants in the area I got to donate a dinner for two! I had been talking to the manager for quite some time, and she finally called back today to deliver the good news.
This was one of my goals that I wanted to reach and I felt wonderful telling the CEO and other staff members. I look forward to accomplishing more of these goals during my time here.
