Joshua Stoll -Conway Recording Studios- Week 9

I thought I couldn't get any busier at Conway last week, but I was wrong. I was even busier this week. I got to spend all week in the 3 studios setting up for sessions. On Monday, the runner I was working with was pulled in flooring a session and they needed a vocal booth set up so I set one up even though I had only seen this done twice before. But I pulled it off and everything went really well. On Tuesday I found out that the session that was using the vocal booth I set up was being moved over to a different studio so I got to transfer everything from one studio to the next and then help set up for another band coming in on Wednesday. On Wednesday I got to hook up a 192 and help the head tech calibrate it which was a great experience because I have used a lot of 192s and have never been able to get under the hood and set one up like that. Thursday was spent cleaning up after a session that just left and was set back up for another band coming back in on Monday and we were just getting a head start on the set up. On Friday I was filling a mid shift for a runner who need a day off and Friday was pretty slow starting out it was spent mostly taking care of things I wasn't able to complete the rest of the week because of the hectic schedule. When I thought Friday was going to be a breeze at 4:30 someone called in and needed a studio set up ready for a session at 5:00 so me and the other runner set up a studio for a session in a half hour (now I know why they call them runners) and we completed it just in time.
