Joshua Stoll -Conway Studios- Week 8
This week at Conway was another crazy week and I have been given various tasks that most interns are not held responsible for. As I have mentioned before, I have taken media to other studios, which is a great responsibility because it's not a job that should be taken lightly. This job requires a lot of trust and efficiency. Recently I was pulled into a session setup by an assistant to do a line check and test headphones. The same assistant pulled me in on Tuesday to set up the session quickly and efficiently because scheduling had been changed by a client, therefore, there was little time to get everything set up. I was immediately available to help in this situation, I dropped the less important task I was doing to fulfill a much needed task. On Thursday another assistant asked me to zero the SSL in Studio B during a tear down. Next week I will be filling in a runner's shift which is a real shift and not just an intern shift. Realizing that I have been getting noticed for the effort I have put in these last eight weeks has given me a boost of enthusiasm in my daily life as an intern. Knowing that the assistants and Serene know they can depend on me when they need something done is truly a privilege and I hope to continue to build this rapport with them.
