Well the week is not over yet but all most and I am having alot of fun at Rhino.... I am now known as T2, due to there is another Tyler working with in the marketing dept. I have been called worse and I don't mind at all.
I am sure you have been waiting patiently for the news on the new release coming out March 10th from Rhino.... Rod Stewart Unplugged..And Seat CD/DVD... Yep Rod on MTVs Unplugged in '93... If any of the older McNally's remeber a song that was done in a class called Contemp Lit.. You know that class that plays in the Cafe'. Well a song from Rod Stewarts MTV performance and following album was "Have I Told You Latley That I Love You". Oh how I had to play that song over and over learning it for class and then here it is on this release years later.
The outreach for Rod is the same as Phish and Graham Nash, emails lots of emails, building the database of possible publishers and review contacts... Not all releases are done like this though. For some of the bigger touring bands like Pearl Jam, Jane's Addiction, or Foreigner, thats right Foreighner oh yeah!! Cause it feels like the first time.... An out side company is hired to do the outreach, they usually have a bigger base to contact.
Anyway it has been a great week and I look forward to watching some Rod Stewart unplugged this weekend.. Hey its the first time the concert has been on DVD or released period!
