This is the second installment of my weekly blog... aren't you all excited?
I got to do more this week and it was really great. We had a creative session where we came up with ideas for info to put on flyers to be sent out about the conference coming up, and called area colleges to try to get students to come to the conference. Thursday they had a 'birthday' type party because Urban Network is 21 this year and a bunch of industry people came, hung out, and ate lots of food. I was in charge of collecting all their names and numbers to be put into this new system of sending out text messages to remind people about the conference which allowed me to talk to everyone and network... I think I got about 12 business cards or so. Pretty fantastic.
Things are gearing up for their Grammy party next Thursday, so I'm extremely excited for that. Also, we're about 6 weeks out from the conference so it's crunch time to get people to come.
