It was a busy week for me at Universal! Since Carolyn was out of the office on Monday and the previous Friday I got to do fun random stuff like pass out the mail. We also had the new vending machine delivered, so I was helping out with making sure they didn't break the doors off and all that fun stuff.
I also submitted Idlers' albums to Fontana for distribution consideration. (they are a band back home in Newfoundland that I'm managing... check them out: http://www.idlers.ca/)
On Friday we had a marketing meeting (yay!!) Lots of good music coming out soon; one song I loved was by Wale featuring Lady GaGa called "Chillin"... really good track! We also watched a Video/DVD clip from the Hannah Montana Movie called "Let's Get Crazy" and talked about how well the sales are doing for Disney.
Lil Wayne was a guest on The View Friday morning; we TiVoed and watched it during the meeting... it was pretty funny!! but awesome at the same time - he talked about going to college and his previous dependency on cough syrup and marijuana... random topic; but he said the only things he depends on today is God and motivation. He then performed the single "Prom Queen" from his upcoming album "Rebirth."
I spent the rest of the day trying to get some PIM uploaded, passed out the mail in the office again, then finished off my Friday as always... Best Buy Corporate mailings! During the BB mail I got a call from Fontana North in Toronto to set up an interview when I move back to Canada!! Keep your fingers crossed!!! I'm starting to get really excited about going back to Canada (I missed it there so much!!) but that means I'll soon have to be saying goodbye to my wonderful internship at Universal Music :( Even though I've only been there for 4 months, it's going to be the hardest part to leave... mainly because it's been the best experience of my life so far. Everyone there is so fantastic!
